The Royal Oak Optimists raised more than $6,000 on Saturday, June 15 in its annual Bowlathon and Gustafson & Morningstar helped with the cause.

The office fielded three teams of bowlers including Dr. Steve and Dr. Shari, right, along with Marie Lewandowski, left, with her husband Bob along with Candy Christie, center, and her husband Paul.

The event, held at the newly renovated Royal Oak Lanes on Washington Ave., is one of the club's major fundraisers of the year.

More than 40 bowlers turned out with their pledge sheets to have fun, enjoy cosmic bowling and raise money for the club which is dedicated to raising funds for Royal Oak youth programs.

Prizes were awarded for high and low scores along with most money raised.
